Is there no better way to spend your Friday evenings and occasional weekends relaxing on the beautiful confines of Sydney Harbour? The only sounds the splashing of water on the hull, the occasional ferry horn and a very infrequent holler from those fine gentleman at the helm. Watching as the orange sun sets and finishing off a bubbly beverage of your choice back at the mooring (or that long run back to cockatoo island, twice). Can you see yourself in that picture?
The Delirium team are recruiting!
At a mere 9 meters, the smallest boat in the BSC Division 1 fleet carries a big punch having found itself on the podium on numerous occassions, or enjoying a cold beverage on all those other times. This is no floating lounge room; there's definitely no bar fridge or hot shower down stairs. In fact, unless you like the soft smells of cedar and the visual look of naked (ooh racey) fiberglass over timber, there's not a lot going on down stairs at all! but that's ok 'cause every knows the fun goes on up on deck!! besides, how many boats out there have their own theme songs:
We've just started our journey to modernising this fun little racing machine and becoming a well honed crew and we'd like you to join us for the ride! All experience levels, positions and commitment levels are welcome. Just bring your sunny disposition, Can Do attitude and a desire to learn, though mad inshore racing skillz would be pretty nifty if you have them...
We race pretty much every friday night during twilight season, and occasional weekends with a desire to do more regattas, super 30 and short offshore (day) racing in the future.
